Project Pat, the stage name of Patrick Earl Houston, is a Memphis-based rapper and a key figure in Southern hip-hop and the "trap" subgenre. Emerging from Memphis's late '90s hardcore rap scene, Pat's original style is hard to trace. His verses and hooks have been sampled in an Eastern European electronic subgenre called “phonk”. Pat is the older brother of Juicy J, co-founder of Three 6 Mafia.
