Slag is a ruthless pirate who craves grog, women, treasure, and violence. He is unnecessarily violent and selfish, admitting to killing a man over a cheeseburger as a way to uphold his image as "Scourge of Polaris". He admitted to have no qualms cheating to best his opponents, as demonstrated by him backstabbing Darkwater without a fight, but hypocritically accused Ratchet of it after losing.
