Nastasha Romanenko is a fictional character from the Metal Gear video game series.
Nastasha was born in Ukraine, where she and her family were exposed to nuclear radiation from the Chernobyl Accident. From then on she was strongly opposed to nuclear weapons and nuclear power. She married Richard Ames, but the marriage did not last long.
In 2005, when the Shadow Moses incident in Metal Gear Solid began, Ames contacted her and put her in Solid Snake's support service. She supplied him with information about nuclear weapons.
When the Shadow Moses incident ended, Nastasha wrote a book titled "In the Darkness of Shadow Moses: The Unofficial Truth".
